 World championship match 2009: Schwarzman retains the title
The match for the world championship 2009 between world champion Alexander Schwarzman and challenger Alexander Georgiev was played in the Dutch towns Enschede, Hengelo and Twenterand.  Dambolite applet
The draughts applet dambolite has been released. This applet was used for the World Championship 2007 in Hardenberg, and for the World Mind Sports Games 2008 in Beijing. Some features are:

 142 problems of Boezjinski
For his 50th birthday Edward Boezjinski has published 150 problems on the Shashki forum. Most of them were entered into the computer by Edwin Twiest. View the problems using the dambo applet. For those who don't know: Boezjinski has published several books, a very good one is "Strategia i taktyka w warcabach (1997)".

An update of EntryDambo is available, a java application that allows you to create web pages with the ReplayDambo applet. This is pretty much the same version as the one that has been used to broadcast the games of the World Championship 2005

 World Championship Blindfold 2005
In Schiedam the first (unofficial) world championship blindfold play is being held. The tournament is sponsored by Van Stigt Thans, and seems to be very well organized. On this site you can find an analysis of the spectactular game between Tsjizjov - Schwarzman in the opening round.

 Collection Marc de Meulenaere 2003/2004
Marc de Meulenaere submitted a large collection of draughts problems, that can be viewed using the dambo applet. After a recent update, there are now 16241 problems.

 TU/e Man-Machine Match 21 November 2004
On Sunday 21 November there will be a man-machine match between international master Jeroen van den Akker and the strong draughts program Flits from Adri Vermeulen. The games will be broadcasted live on damserver.nl, and there will also be a webcam. For more information, see the website of the match. The match will be played at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, together with the open Dutch championship for computers.

 TU/e Man-Machine Match Results
Flits has won the match against Jeroen van den Akker with 4-2. In the first game of the tie-break Jeroen didn't react adequately to a combinative threat from Flits. For more information, see the website of the match. The Open Dutch championship for computers ended in a victory for Dragon from Michel Grimminck. Dragon and TD King both ended with 13 points, but Dragon won the tie-break. Take a look at the results and the games.
